‘Games are simply too big and too feature-packed nowadays. During the PS one era I remember almost all of my friends, even those who would now be defined as ‘casual gamers’, had fairly substantial game libraries. However, as games have grown in scope and content over the years this is no longer the case. After all, FIFA alone is probably enough to sate the average gamer’s appetite – with an ongoing career mode, multiple leagues to master, the life-destroying Ultimate Team, and near-infinite competition online, who has time for other games?’
